the Visit of the President of Nepal to Japan

Our representative, Bhattarai, attended the “Reception Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Japan–Nepal Diplomatic Relations and the Visit of President Paudel of Nepal to Japan,” held at the Iikura Guest House of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February, 2026, as one of the Nepalese-side participants. The reception was hosted by State Minister for Foreign Affairs Iwao Horii and was attended by President Ram Chandra Paudel and the First Lady, along with approximately 130 participants from both Japan and Nepal.

At the event, State Minister Horii extended a warm welcome to President Paudel and the First Lady and expressed his appreciation to all those who have contributed to the development of Japan–Nepal relations over the past 70 years. In response, President Paudel conveyed his gratitude for Japan’s warm hospitality and for its continued support. The reception provided a cordial setting in which participants further deepened the friendship between Japan and Nepal.

This visit marked an important milestone in commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Nepal. During the visit, President Paudel and the First Lady also had an audience with Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan and held meetings with Japanese government officials, during which views were exchanged on strengthening bilateral relations and future cooperation.

Going forward, we will continue to value exchanges between people, cultures, and businesses as a company that connects Japan and Nepal, and we will strive to contribute to deeper mutual understanding and the continued development of friendly relations between the two countries.
